Music as a doorway. Learning as a rhythm. Community as the chorus.

About AMP

American Music Program (AMP) is a music program for schools, camps, and community institutions where students are enrolled in a weekly instrument or vocal lesson and automatically receive a weekly large ensemble or choir experience as part of the same tuition.

During lessons, students develop musical skill and basic musicianship while building mindfulness, learning a shared ensemble piece, and composing music from the very beginning.

Students learn to listen, speak, write, read, play, and participate in music together as a living language. We encourage students to play, not practice.

Community & Fundraising Integration

AMP coordinates intergenerational performances and community concerts when partnered with retirement or senior residences.

Concerts may be ticketed and can serve as fundraisers. AMP retains only what is needed to cover teacher or director time, transportation, and light refreshments. Remaining funds go directly to the agreed-upon cause.

Schools or programs may receive up to 18% of tuition for hosting the program, with no billing or administrative burden.
